GET IN TO A
STATE OF MIND
Creating a space within your home for exercise is obviously easy.
Lay on the carpet in front of the TV and do a sit up. TA-DAH! :)
Creating a “dedicated” space, inside or outside of the home, can help with consistency. With a few pieces of exercise equipment and a little space you can create a multitude of resistance, flexibility and movement patterns for the most avid of exercise enthusiasts.
A space used solely for your workouts! A spare bedroom or the garage are two examples. A space dedicated for you and your exercise equipment that does not need to be cleaned up or hidden when done.
Create your exercise space in an area big enough for stretching, foam rolling and body weight workouts. Whether lying on the ground or doing jumping jacks you will have plenty of clearance.
“An 8x8 space with enough overhead height for
your outstretched arms will be plenty of room”
Create your space next to a wall that has no obstructions. Use of a wall has an added dimension for exercise options.
You do not need much to equip your space. The space you have, especially if carpeted, may be all you need. Your body weight alone is all you need to create a variety of exercise... think pushup.
